The Castle.
A castle, a medieval village, an estate. One thousand years of history that you can live — even for a single night.
The millenary Castle of Parrano is the heart of the Principato. Brought back to its authentic splendour through a meticulous restoration, it is today the guardian of tradition, culture and peace. It rises over five floors: a charming residence with splendid Thermal Baths, twenty historic rooms of the highest level, reception halls, hunting rooms, kitchens, millenary cellars, hanging gardens.
At the Principato staying isn't a standard, it's an experience designed bespoke. Innovative home automation, thermal comfort, natural materials — the warmth of family hospitality coupled with the care of a high-level service.
Halls, details, atmospheres.
Stone, light, arches, terracotta floors. Glimpses of the castle across five floors — exteriors and historic interiors.

The thermal waters of the castle.
The Thermal Baths flow inside the Castle — the culture of wellbeing tied to water is ancient at Parrano. Indoor and outdoor pools with views over the valley and the village rooftops, the SPA area divided into private spaces with saunas, treatment rooms and relaxation zones. All dedicated to wellbeing and health.

Above the village rooftops.
The hanging terraces overlook the rooftops of Parrano village: the garden, the pool, the sunbathing area, sheltered year-round by the warm castle walls.
Terracotta pots, lavender, centuries-old olive trees and eighteenth-century sundials. A garden suspended between the Umbrian sky and the red rooftops of the medieval village, perfect for early-morning light or sunset aperitivo.

A path carved into the rock.
You start from the grappa room, then move into the cellars walking through a gallery carved into the rock. Immediately you feel the temperature drop and the smell of the cave that leads to the pupitres cellar, where the sparkling wine ferments in bottle.
The long brick vault and the stone walls carved into the ground defend the wine's rest. On the castle's cellars events for two hundred guests can be organised, immersed in the atmosphere that only a millenary cellar can give.
Our productionNine centuries, in a few names.
From the bishops of Orvieto to the Marescotti princes, from the Bulgarelli family to Vittorio Valletta. Palaeolithic, Popes, Orient Express, Fiat — a saga weaving a thousand years into the same stone.
